Curriculum overview
Cranbrook College Junior Department offers a broad and balanced curriculum. Every child is encouraged to develop their own abilities and reach their full potential in all aspects of school life. All National Curriculum subjects plus French and R.E. are taught using cross-curricular links where appropriate.
The school's aims are:
- To develop lively, inquiring minds and a love of learning.
- To encourage pupils to apply themselves to a range of tasks and skills, striving for excellence whilst maintaining enjoyment.
- To foster attitudes, which instil self-confidence, raise self-esteem and create a sense of personal well-being.
- To develop personal, spiritual and moral values; to encourage the understanding of all religions and beliefs and a tolerance of others and their way of life, enabling pupils to appreciate and understand the world in which they live.
