Visits
Theatre trips will support the study of dramatic texts. For example, Years 10 and 11 should visit The Globe Theatre on London's South Bank, which is a replica of a theatre where Shakespeare's plays would have been performed originally. Other recent theatre visits have included Journey's End and The Woman in Black.
A visit to France and the scenes of the World War 1 battlefields will also be included in the programme. This will help boys to visualise the conditions that led to the prolific poetry of these years, studied in the works of Wilfred Owen, Siegfried Sassoon, Isaac Rosenberg and others.
